Alta D. Borchardt

Alta D. Borchardt, 97, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Weyauwega Health Care Center in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. She was born August 27, 1901 in Castalia, Iowa, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Jahnke) Schultz. Alta married William F. Jensen and he preceded her in death. She later married Albert Borchardt and he also preceded her in death.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Mary (Robert) Vanderwalker of Weyauwega; Barbara Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Suzanne Schaumann of Menasha, WI and Patricia Lalley of Appleton, WI; a step-daughter Dona Rager of Oshkosh, WI; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Ales, Jr., Patricia Geibel and William and Christoper Lalley; 6 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Alta was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mabel Schultz, Amanda Hupfer, Eileen McGilligan and Ora Sampson; a brother, Lloyd Schultz and 3 sons-in-law. Alta is the last of the generation.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 25, 1999, at 7 p.m. at Laemmrich Community Funeral Home in Menasha with the Rev. Bob Karuhn officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha.
