Decorah Journal, December 29, 1926

Soren Sorenson Lykkebo passed away at nine o'clock last evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Oscar Erickson in Canoe twp. He had been sick only a few days. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. The sympathy of numerous friends is extended to them.

Submitter's note: Correct family name is Lokkebo per family member. Gravestone marker in Springwater Cemetery reads Sorenson, Soren.

Obituary - Springwater News

The aged father of Mrs. Oscar Erickson died at her home Tuesday. Soren L Likkeby was ill but a few days, his death being caused by pneumonia. His funeral was held Friday afternoon, services where Rev. Glesne preached an eloquent funeral sermon, being held at the home and at the Springwater church, in which cemetery the remains of the deceased were laid to rest. His grandsons were pall bearers, the other three patients in that home all are , at last, improving
