Funeral services for Heather Mae Brown were held Wednesday, December 15, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia. The Reverend H. W. Wolfgram officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements.

Heather Mae Brown, daughter of Jerry and Cindy (Thompson) Brown of rural Castalia, was born April 14, 1981, at Decorah, Iowa. She passed away Sunday, December 12, 1982 at the age of 1 year, 7 months and 28 days.

She was baptized on June 21, 1981 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Castalia.

Surviving are her parents, a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Brown of Castalia, paternal great grandmother, Mrs. Orpha Brown of Waukon, maternal grandfather, William Thompson of Staplehurst, Nebraska and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jack (Ethel) Szporanzki of Chula Vista, CA, maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mrs. Arnold (Mickey) Rowert of Tilden, Nebraska and Mrs. Thelma Smearings of Escondido, CA.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles W. Brown and great grandfather, Charles R. Brown, maternal great grandfathers, Edward Synovec and Roy Smearings.
