Harold C. Hjerleid, age 67, of Decorah, Iowa, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at home in Decorah of mesothelioma (asbestos lung cancer).

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Decorah Lutheran Church in Decorah with Rev. James Glesne and Rev. Bryan Robertson officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah with full military honors.

Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah where there will be a V.F.W. and American Legion Memorial Service at 6:00 P.M. Visitation is also on Monday one hour before services at the Church.

Harold is survived by his wife, Colleen.
