Rites Held Saturday At Springwater for Clifford Narveson

Funeral services for Clifford Narveson, 56, were held Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Springwater Lutheran Church by the Rev. I.M. Gjellstad. The Steine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Narveson, Pleasant Township farmer, died Thursday morning, May 19, at the Decorah Hospital.

The pallbearers were Gerhard Hellen, Sylvan Severson, Everett Severson, Ray Rasmussen, Clarence Myhre and Virgil Stortz. Members of the flower committee were Shirley Erickson, Edith Hjelmeland, Eunice Kirkeby and Eleanore Albertson.

The soloist, Mrs. Melvin Solheim, was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ransome Bolson.

Mr. Narveson was born March 7, 1899, in Canoe Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Narve C. Narveson. He attended rural schools in Pleasant Township and has resided there most of his life.

Surviving are his mother and three sisters. They are Mrs. Walter (Judith) Ruffridge and Mrs. Arnold (Nettie) Soeder, both of Decorah, and Carolla Narveson, at home.
