Maynard J. "Andy" Anderson, age 94 of Mountain Home, Arkansas and formerly of Decorah, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Pine Lane Healthcare in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 27, 2007 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah by Rev. Gary F. Krapfl, with inurnment in St. Benedict Cemetery. Fjelstul Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Maynard J. “Andy” Anderson was born September 24, 1912 in Rushford, Minnesota, the son of Hans Jacob and Mary (Benson) Anderson. He was united in marriage with Marjorie Berry on September 12, 1935 in Mason City, Iowa. After her death on January 2, 1967, he married Betty J. (Morse) Becvar on October 19, 1968 in Decorah, Iowa. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2007.

Andy was a Beverage Distributor of Hamm’s Beer for Northeast Iowa. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for the last 35 years after moving from Iowa.

Andy was a member of the Holy Name Society; 3rd Degree Knight of the Decorah Knights of Columbus, Council 4208 and St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Betty) Anderson of West Bloomfield, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Daniel (Mary Beth) Anderson, Gwenn Anderson, Marjorie (Jim) Ashens, Lori (Bill) Lennon, Gerald (Sherry) Anderson, Bill (Tracy) Anderson, 1st Lt. Andrew (Brooks) Anderson USAF, Jeff Anderson and Nicholas Anderson; eight great grandchildren, Christopher Ashens, Keagan Anderson, Tatum Anderson, Renick Anderson, Charley Anderson, Dottie Anderson, Marcy Anderson, Gabbi Anderson; one sister, Ruth Anderson of Mason City, Iowa; and one stepdaughter, Kathy (Al) Iverson of Roscoe, Illinois;

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald Joseph Anderson and David Berry Anderson; his wife Marjorie and his wife Betty and an infant great granddaughter.
