Maxine Hoeg, age 91 of Decorah, died on Monday, May 31, 2004 at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah following a brief illness.

Memorial Service is on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, IA by Rev. Ole Winter with inurnment in Phelps Cemetery in Decorah, IA.

Visitation is on Friday, June 4, 2004 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Fjelstul Funeral Home.

Maxine (Bradrick) Hoeg was born December 21, 1912 in Decorah, IA. She was the only child of Pearle Elsworth and Bessie (McMullen) Bradrick. In 1923 the family moved to Van Nuys, CA where Maxine graduated from high school with the class of 1931. They then moved back to Decorah.

Maxine was united in marriage with Harold Hoeg, son of Dr. and Mrs. Christian Hoeg, in 1935. To this union 2 sons were born: James and Richard.

Maxine was a life-long member of Decorah Lutheran Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She worked for several years as a secretary in the Luther College Book Store, retiring in 1975. Maxine enjoyed making hand crafts, crocheting, playing cards and painting. She had been a resident of Aase Haugen Home since December of 1999.

Maxine died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harold, on October 16, 1960.

She is survived by her sons, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter: James (Sandra Bilden) Hoeg of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and their sons, Jeffrey (Kari Kunze) and daughter, Kaija Kunze Hoeg of Eagan, MN, Brian (Yvette Anderson) Hoeg of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Richard (Solveig Johnson) Hoeg of San Francisco, CA and twin daughters, Samantha and Joanne.
