Agnes Schneberger, age 86, of Calmar, IA died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, IA, Msgr. Cletus Hawes presiding burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:00 and scripture at 5:00 at the Festina Parish Center in Festina, IA there will also be visitation after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Parish Center.

Agnes Catherine (Timp) Schneberger was born July 22, 1924, to William and Louise (Wenthold) Timp on the farm near Calmar, IA. Agnes was baptized and confirmed at St. Aloysius Church and also attended St. Aloysius School. On May 3, 1948, Agnes married Donald Schneberger at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Agnes helped her husband at his service station in Calmar. She also worked at Buchheit Produce in Calmar and Camcar in Decorah. In the last few years, she also worked at the Calmar Library. Agnes enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching baseball, and attending family functions. She was a member of the Halverson – Giesen American Legion Auxiliary in Calmar, IA and Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina, IA.

Agnes is survived by her two brothers: Victor (Beatrice) Timp, Calmar IA and Cletus (Roseanne) Timp, Hiawatha, IA. Three sisters-in-law: Esther Timp, Decorah, IA; Helen Timp, Spillville, IA; and Lorraine Schneberger, Austin, MN. One brother-in-law: Jerome Schneberger, Cedar Rapids, IA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband: Donald May 19, 1990. Her parents: William and Louise (Wenthold) Timp. Two brothers: Alvin and Lawrence Timp. Three sisters: Gladys (Zeno) Huber, Beatrice (Leo) Schmitt, and Rosemary Timp in infancy. Two sisters-in-law: Frances Schneberger and Darlene (Leo) Luzum. Two brothers-in-law: Cyril and Bill Schneberger.
