Marlin R. Rathbun, 81, of Salina, Kan., passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, at his home in Salina. The funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Faith United Methodist Church, Spring Valley, Minn. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service

Marlin was born March 9, 1930 in Spring Valley, Minn. to Maurice and Nola Warren Rathbun. He was a custom harvester and a school custodian for Spring Valley Public Schools.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, of the home; daughters Bernita Moss, Lila Peckham-Wichman and Carol Viar; son, John Peckham, sisters, Joann Goldammer and Bonnie Grabau; brothers, James Rathbun and Steve Rathbun; eight grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; two step-grandsons; and three step-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; and his first wife, Eileen Hagen Rathbun.
