Lillian Lundtvedt, age 71, of Decorah, Iowa, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the Decorah Lutheran Church in Decorah, Iowa, with Rev. Bryan Robertson presiding. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah, Iowa.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, and also after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday morning.

Lillian Elaine (Olson) Lundtvedt was born on July 17, 1938, the daughter of Orville and Alma (Kamprud) Olson in North Bend, WI. Lillian attended Mindoro High School and graduated in 1956. She worked a short time at a bank in LaCrosse. She was united in marriage to Ernest Lundtvedt at Lewis Valley Lutheran Church on July 8, 1961, in Stevenstown, WI. Lillian worked at Wapsie Produce for twenty one years. Lillian enjoyed going camping, doing word puzzles, dancing, playing cards, doing embroidery, sewing, traveling, and going for rides.

Lillian’s survivors include her husband: Ernest Lundtvedt, Decorah, IA. Four daughters: Linda (Kevin) Gilbertson, Decorah, IA; Laurie (Greg) Koester, Waukon, IA; Lisa (Scott) Kriener, Cresco, IA; and Lois (Scott) Thamert, Rochester, MN. Seven grandchildren: Erin and Devin Gilbertson, Kayla and Ross Koester, Cody and Shaina Kriener, Hunter Thamert. One great grandchild: Liam Weber. Two sisters: Alvera (Carl) Leibl, Minneapolis, MN and Gloria (Jim) Erickson, Houston, MN. Double first cousins that grew up as sisters: Shirley (Jim) Hanson, LaCrosse, WI and Diane Smith, Holmen, WI. Two sisters-in-law: Marlys Schulte, Decorah, IA and Arla Mae (Lester) Hjelmeland, Winona, MN. One brother-in-law: Arnold (Margaret) Lundtvedt, Caledonia, MN.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Alma (Kamprud) Olson. One double cousin: Duane Olson and a special family friend: Howard Mahlum. One sister-in-law: Agnes Koester. Three brothers-in-law: Kenneth, Oscar and Gilman Lundtvedt.
