Edward H. Clark

Edward H. Clark, age 86, of Ossian, died suddenly Wednesday morning, November 8, 1995 at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah, Iowa.

A memorial mass was read Monday, November 13, 1995 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian by the Rev. Richard Kuhn. Schmitz Funeral Home of Ossian was in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at a later date.

Edward, the son of the late Hubbert and Grace (McFarland) Clark, was born February 3, 1909 in Pittsburg, Pa. He received his education in Pennsylvania.

On July 27, 1954 he was united in marriage to Mary Frances Dessel at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian by the late Rev. E. J. Frost.

Edward was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and its Rosary Society.

As an upholsterer, he came to Ossian in 1952 and was an employee of Schmitz Furniture Store. Ed went into private business in 1955 and owned and operated Clark's Upholstery until a year ago.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances of Ossian; one son, Ronald E. Clark, of Pascagula, Miss. and a nephew, Tom Hutchinson of Pittsburg, Pa.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Helen.
