15 Nov 1983Dagny Evenrud of 119 N Mill in Decorah died Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. She was 80 years of age.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evenrud were held Friday Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Glenwood Lutheran Church with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Berg, Walter Teslow, Hubert Bolson, Hayward Evenrud, Vernon Olson and Walter Langland. Laurie Baker was organist, and James Hanson was soloist. Arrangements were made by Sensor-French Funeral Home.
Dagny (Lovstuen) Evenrud was born Oct. 1, 1903 in Glenwood Township to Hans and Marie (Selsvold) Lovstuen. She attended rural schools and Vadr's Normal School.
She married Nels Evenrud at Glenwood Lutheran Church in 1928. Her husband died in 1931.
Mrs. Evenrud is survived by a son Donald of Clear Lake, Ia.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two sisters, Rebecca Bolson and Nora Berg, both of Decorah.
Mrs. Evenrud belonged to the Glenwood Lutheran Church and the ALCW.
