Carl Evenrud passed away Monday morning July 14, 1924, on his 38th birthday, at the Oakdale Sanitarium, Oakdale, Iowa, where he has been the past year. He had been failing the past three years. His remains were shipped to Decorah yesterday, and the funeral services will be held at one o'clock at the home on Oak street in this city ant at two o'clock in the Glenwood church, Thursday, July 17, 1924. Burial will be made in the Glenwood cemetery.

Carl Evenrud was born July 14, 1886, in Glenwood township. He was the son of Anton and Mattie Evenrud. He recieved his education in Winneshiek county, and never married. His father pased away in the year 1911, and his mother in the year 1920. He is survived by one sister, Nellie, who lives at home, in Decorah, and four brothers, Roy, Ferdinand, Alexander, at home, and Arthur of Glenwood township. The deceased was a farmer by trade, and moved to Decorah from Glenwood township with the rest of the family four years ago. He was a member of the F.N.E.L. church of Decorah.
