Dorothy A. Borseth, 56, died Tuesday in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital of cancer. Survivors include her husband, Norman; a daughter, Ann of Decorah; her mother, Martha Althouse, and a brother, Leonard Althouse, both of Postville. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, First Lutheran Church. Burial Lutheran Cemetery, Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Sensor-French’s and at the church an hour before services.

Dorothy Borseth
Funeral services for Dorothy A. Borseth, 56, of Decorah, were held Friday, June 10, at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Decorah.
Mrs. Borseth died of cancer June 7 at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Glenn Kappelman conducted the services. Organist was Florence Jowers and soloist was Norman Gjevre.
Burial was at the Lutheran Cemetery, with Sensor-French Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were David, James and John Lensch, Radcy and Steve Althouse and Scott Brown.
Dorothy Anna Althouse was born April 20, 1932, in Postville, the son{sic} of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Althouse. She attended Postville Public Schools, and married Norman Borseth Feb. 28, 1954, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Springfield Township before moving to Decorah in 1987. Mrs. Borseth was a member of First Lutheran Church, Carry-On Club, and the Farm Bureau Women.
Survivors include her mother, her husband, one daughter, Ann Borseth of Decorah; and one brother, Leonard Althouse of Decorah. She was preceded in death by her father and two sons, Wayne in infancy and Gary in 1963.
