Julia E. Weilbrenner, age 75, died Friday, May 27, 1988 at her home in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Memorial services were held Monday, May 30 at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, rural Waterville, Iowa, with Pastor April Larson officiating. *The obituary does not list the place of burial.* Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Julia was born February 17, 1913 in Highlandville, Winneshiek County, to Soren Oscar and Clara (Lien) Ness. She graduated from Decorah High School. On November 3, 1942 she married Fred Weilbrenner in Decorah, Iowa. They lived in Decorah for several years and then moved to Albany, New York for two years. They returned to Decorah and moved to Harpers Ferry, Iowa in 1979. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Decorah and she was a bookkeeper in Decorah before retiring.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Selma, and two brothers, James Ness and Harold Ness.

Survivors include her husband; 2 daughters, Julie Bohnsack of Carbondale, Illinois, and June Harland of Rochester, Minnesota; 4 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Marian Nesheim and Gladys Peterson, both of Decorah, Iowa and Isabelle Krebsbach of Austin, Minnesota.
