Clarence Alphonse Huber, 70, died Sunday, January 29, 1989 at his farm home, rural Decorah, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Ossian, Iowa by the Rev. Marvin C. Salz. Casket bearers were Clyde Franzen, Ivan Franzen, Rodney Franzen, Terry Franzen, and Brian Franzen. Interment was in St.Francis Cemetery, Ossian, Iowa.

Clarence was born the son of Charles T. and Margaret F. (Reicks) Huber on July 8, 1918 on the same farm he lived on all his life. He was baptized and confirmed in his faith at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Ossian where he was a lifetime member. He also was a member of the St. Francis Rosary Society. He received his education by attending DeSales school in Ossian.

Preceding him in death were his father in 1931; his mother in 1975; one brother Louis Huber in 1976; and a nephew, Donald Hawkins in 1979.

Survivors include his two sisters, Kathleen Huber of Decorah, Iowa and Mrs. Ralph J. (Loretta M.) Hawkins of Waucoma, Iowa; one nephew and two nieces.
