Mildred Frana, age 64, of Calmar, Iowa died Thursday, March 16, 1989 at Waterloo, Iowa after a short illness. Services were conducted Monday, March 20 by the Rev. Jack Paisley at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Decorah, Iowa at 10 p.m. Pallbearers were Bill Frana, Harry Smith, Robert Gutting, Bob Miene, LaVern Worple, Jr. and Ronald Hron.

Mildred Marie was born August 27, 1924 at Lourdes, Iowa to Frank and Barbara (Ondrashek) Hron. She married Cyril Frana on June 16, 1947 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Protivin, Iowa. They became the parents of four children.

Preceding her in death were her parents. She is survived by her husband; a son, Bill Frana, of Calmar, three daughters, Carolyn Miene of Monona, Mary Lou Gutting of Marshalltown, Iowa and Betty Smith of Waterloo, Iowa; nine grandchildren, and one brother, Edward Hron of Elma, Iowa.
