Hermina B. Boeding, 91, of Fort Atkinson, Iowa died Friday, November 12, 2010, at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehab Center in New Hampton. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Nick March Friday, November 19, at St. Luke Catholic Church, St.Lucas, Iowa. Interment was in the church cemetery. Hermina's grandsons served as casket bearers. Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, Chekal Chapel, Fort Atkinson was in charge of arrangements.

Hermina Barbara (Rausch) Boeding was born July 19, 1919, on the family farm north of St.Lucas to Hugo and Barbara (Hackman) Rausch. She was baptized and confirmed at St.Luke Church, St.Lucas and attended St.Luke's Catholic School. On November 22, 1938, Hermina was united in marriage with Arnold Boeding at St.Luke Catholic Church. The couple then farmed for over 50 years southwest of St.Lucas.

Hermina was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Barbara Rausch; her husband, Arnold Boeding, on January 29, 1989; a granddaughter; and three brothers, Carl, Alex, and Donald Rausch.

Survivors include her nine children and their spouses, Doris (Donald) Ott of Ankeny, Kathleen (Earl) Drilling of Waucoma, Gerald (Joan) Boeding of Johnston, formerly of West Union, Carol Lechtenberg of Miltona, MN., Ronald (Audrey) Boeding of Pleasant Hill, Marvin (Kathy) Boeding of Loveland, Colo., Duane (Claudia) Boeding of LeGrand, Linda (Charles) Thompson of Tulsa, Okla., and Lois (Bruce) Fure of Rochester, MN.

Hermina is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Herb (Christine) Rausch of Fort Atkinson; two sisters, Verena (James )Croatt of West Union and Laura Kuboushek of Calmar; numerous nieces, nephew, cousins, and other relatives.
