Mrs. Jean Foltz, 59, died suddenly at her home in Hesper Sunday, Feb, 17.

The former Jean Robinson, she was born Oct. 26, 1925, at Hesper, Ia., the daughter of Ralph Percy and Sidney (Barnhart) Robinson. She attended the Hesper school and was a graduate of Mabel high school.

On June 15, 1944, she married Warren Foltz. They resided at Mabel and Hesper. He died Feb.20, 1981. She worked as a waitress in Mabel, also had employed at Deco Products in Decorah. She was a member of the Hesper Friends church.

Survivors are two sons, Roland, Iowa City, Ronald, Hesper; two daughters, Rita Crawford, Hesper, Rosemary Zafft, Mabel; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Marland (Betty) Schmidt) Bloomer, Wis., and her twin, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Austin, Hesper.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hesper Friends church. Pastor David Runyon officiating. Burial in the Hesper public cemetery.

Visitation at the Mengis Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before services at the church.
