Mrs. Amy Reed: Mabel, Minn. -- Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Grace Baptist Church in Austin, Minn., for Mrs. Amy Reed, 79, who died at her home there Feb., 26. She was a former resident of Hesper.

The Rev. Earl Brown officiated, and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

The former Amy Maria Allen was born at Hesper, Iowa, June 21, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen. In July 1901, she married Oscar J. Reed of Hesper.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marland (Grace) Tenhoff and Mrs. Clifford (Alta) Burdick, Austin; one son, Loren of Austin; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Welch, Caledonia, and Mrs. Fred Johnson, boulder, Colo,; and one brother, Tom Allen of Hesper.

Her husband, two brothers and four sisters preceded her death.
