Funeral services were conducted at 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Scheie Lutheran church for Mrs. Emma Iverson, 78, who died Friday evening at her farm home near Mabel. The Rev. Jay Kamrath officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The former Emma Aasum, she was born Feb. 17, 1895, in Newburg township, Fillmore County, Minn., the daughter of Ole and Ellen (Selness) Aasum. She was baptized and confirmed at the Hesper Lutheran church. On November 16, 1922, she married Clarence Iverson at Hesper. They farmed all their married life near Mabel. She was a member of Scheie Lutheran church and its ALCW.

Survivors are one son, Odell, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Darrel (Ella Mae) Casler, Chatfield, Minn., and Miss Eleanore Iverson, Mabel; one grandson, and one brother, Sverre, Caledonia, MN. Her husband, five brothers preceded her in death. The Mengis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
