Here is the obituary for Palma: Born in the Town of Canton, Fillmore County, Minnesota, on the 6th day of July and departing this life in the Town of Hesper, Iowa, on the 26th day of January, 1941, she reached only lifes midday of 45 years, 6 months and 20 days. Her parents, Elmer and Julia Tingesdal had but one other child, Bennett Hamlin Tengesdahl. Palma was baptized by the Rev. Jensen, and when Rev. Kasberg became Rev. Jensen's successor she entered his class and was confirmed in the Christian faith in the Garness Trinity Lutheran church. Having spent the early years of her life with her parents, she came to the year 1923, when she was joined in marriage to Mr. Carl Aasum, and their union was solemnized on the 17th day of November. One child, Evelyn, was born to them, who at the time of her mothers death was exactly 15 years ago. From the Welch collection.
