Mrs. Olga Folstad, 77, Hesper, Iowa, died Friday evening in a Spring Grove, MN, hospital after a short illness The former Olga Klegseth, she was born Sept. 7, 1894 in Fillmore county to Esten and Beret (Aasum) Klegseth. She was married to Martin Folstad June 23, 1915 at Decorah, Iowa. They farmed in Hesper Township until his death in 1956, when she moved to Hesper. Educated in the rural Hesper schools, she was a life time member of Hesper Lutheran church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors are: five sons, Elmer, Melvin, Maynard, Charles and Arland, all of the Hesper-Mabel area; one daughter, Mrs. Al (Beatrice) Schmitz, Caledonia, MN; 28 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Myron (Emma) Welch, Mabel, and Mrs. Melissa Korsness, Hesper. One grandson, one sister and one brother have died. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hesper Lutheran Church, the Rev. Virtus Stoffregen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
