Here is the Obituary for Berith Maria Aasum-Klegseth 26 October, 1959.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. this Thursday afternoon at the Hesper Lutheran church for Mrs. Beret Klegseth, 98, who died at the Myron Welch home here Monday. The Rev. David Lee will officiate. Burial will be in the Hesper Lutheran cemetery.

The former Beret Aasum, she was born Sept. 7, 1861, in Trondheim, Norway, the daughter of Ole and Anna (Wennes) Aasum. She came to America at the age of three years, surviving a near fatal bout with whooping cough while aboard ship. She settled on a farm east of Hesper, and resided in that community all her life. She was baptized in Norway and confirmed at the Hesper Lutheran church in 1875 by Rev. H.A. Stub. She married Esten Klegseth on June 2, 1892.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Ida) Erickson, and Mrs. Martin (Olga) Folstad of Hesper, Mrs. Myron (Emma) Welch, Mrs. Lawrence (Melissa) Korsness, Mabel; one son, Albert, of Hesper; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Her husband, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

According to the obituary she was born in Trondheim (which is not correct). She was born in Nordre Trondhjems amt (county), which from 1919 changed name to Nord-Trøndelag fylke (county)
