The obituary for Mrs. Judene Aasum, from the Welch collection, September, 1966.

The former Mildred Aasum, she was born Jan 19,1910, at Highlandville, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Lillian (Holven) Anderson. On Jan. 31, 1929, she married Judene Aasum. They lived all their married life in the Hesper and Mabel area.

Survivors are her husband; four daughters Mavis Aasum, Biwabik, Mn., Mrs. James (La Vonne) Benson, Hoyt Lakes, MN, Mrs. Harold (Elaine) Sand, Mabel., Mrs. Gerald (Priscilla) Redwing, Winona; two sons Lewellyn, Mabel, David, Cloquet, MN; 12 grandchildren, three brothers, Leland, Arthur, Mabel, Emil, Winona, and one sister, Mrs. Virgil Aberg, Mabel. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

Burial was in the Hesper Lutheran cemetery.
