Oscar James Reed. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon a prayer service in the Mayer Funeral home preceding the services at the Baptist church, for Oscar James Reed, with the Rev. Leo Sandgren officiating.

Mr. Reed, 67, whose home was at 204 South Third street, died Friday morning at St. Olaf hospital after a few days' illness.

Oscar James Reed was born, in Canoe township. In 1920 on July 24, he married Amy Allen at Hesper. Three children were born to them. Mrs. Otto Anderson, Mrs. Arthur Fenske and Loren, all of this city. He was a member of the Baptist church. The family had resided here for about twenty years.

The wife and three children, Grace, Alta and Loren, are left to mourn a kind husband and fathe. A brother, Clayton, resides in Hesper, and two sisters, Sylvia Reed of Bur Oak, Iowa, and Doar Smith of Caledonia.
