Amos's Obituary from the Mabel Record of 24, November 1977.

Amos H. Moore: Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mabel United Methodist church for Amos H. Moore, 88, who died Sunday morning at the skilled care unit of Tweeten Memorial hospital in Spring Grove, following an extended illness. The Rev. Charles Burnham officiated Burial was in the Hesper Public cemetery.

He was born November 17, 1889, on a farm near Kendallville, Ia., the son of Archie and Anna Moore. He attended rural school at Kendalville and Valder's Business College in Decorah, Iowa.

On May 18, 1922, he married Birdie Wells of Mabel. They farmed in the Kendalville, Ia., Harmony and Mabel, Minn., areas prior to retiring and moving to Mabel in 1975.

He was a trustee of Hesper public cemetery board, a member of the Hesper Hundred Year Club, and a former Fillmore County Commissioner.

He is survived by his wife and four nephews.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

The Mengis funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
