Emma Myers

Emma Myers, 93, of New Hampton, died Saturday, Feb. 17 at the New Hampton Care Center of natural causes.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 3-8 p.m. at Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home in New Hampton handling arrangements.

Emma M. Myers was born April 8, 1907 on the Leibold family farm near FORT ATKINSON, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Sudtelgte) Leibold.

She attended grade school and high school in FORT ATKINSON.

On Feb. 14, 1928, she married Philip Myers at St. John's Catholic Church in FORT ATKINSON.

Together, the couple farmed and raised their family near Waucoma, retiring in 1973 and moving to New Hampton.

Philip Myers died Oct. 29, 1978.

Emma Myers had been a member of St. Mary's Church in Waucoma and the Catholic Daughters of America in Waucoma and New Hampton.

She had currently been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, fishing and spending time with her family, and she had been active in the New Hampton Senior Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Irene and Gerald Lensing of Lawler; two sons, Alvin and Theresa Myers of New Hampton and Raymond and Gladys Myers of RIDGEWAY; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Emma M. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip Myers; a daughter, Florence Sheridan 1976; a son-in-law, Francis Sheridan in 1986; three brothers, Art, Hugo and George Leibold and two sisters, Olivia Steffes and Bertha Kappes.

NEW HAMPTON - Emma M. Myers, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001 at the New Hampton Care Center of natural causes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton with Rev. Carl Schmitt celebrating the mass.
Interment will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton with Pat Lensing, Tom Myers, Jim Myers, Donny Sheridan, David Sneridan and Tom Lensing as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p m. parish scripture service. Further visitation is an hour prior to the funeral at the church.
