Donald Francis Bartosh

Donald Bartosh, 70, of Melbourne, Fla., died February 7, 2001 from complications of the lungs.

The body was cremated and memorial services were held at 10 Saturday, Feb. 17 at Ascension Church in Melbourne.

Burial was in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Fla.

Donald Francis Bartosh was born March 25, 1930 in FORT ATKINSON, the son of John J. and Stella (Wagner) Bartosh.

In the early days, after his birth, Don Bartosh was stricken with infantile paralysis/polio. He was baptized at St. John Nepomucene Church, and attended grade school there until moving to Cedar Rapids with the family in 1946.

He graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School in 1950.

Donald Bartosh lived in the Cedar Rapids area until five years ago, when he moved to Florida to live with his sister and brother-in-law. He then moved to a nursing home in the Florida area. Prior to his move to Florida, he lived for
many years at the Abby Center in Marion.

He was a draftsman at Link-Belt Speeder, Collins Radio/Rockwell for 17 years. He belonged to the local Indoor Sports Club and Heralders Club.

Don Bartosh enjoyed playing the accordion, cards and cross-word puzzles.

Surviving Donald Bartosh are his sisters G. Jean and Bill Koutny of Melbourne, Fla.; and Darlene E. and James Schwendinger of Cedar Rapids and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Donald Francis Bartosh was preceded in death by his parents; several aunts and uncles; a nephew, Christopher Murphy and many cousins.
