Lyle Nali

Lyle Nali, 78, of Machesney Park, Illinois, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 1 at Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., with Rev. Scott Malme officiating.

Burial was in Willwood Burial Park, with Delehanty Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Lyle K. Nali was born August 24, 1922, in DECORAH, the son of Adolph Hans and Ada (Doremp) Nali.

He married Inez M. Berts in Rockford, Illinois, on July 4,1947.

Lyle Nali was employed by Northern Illinois Metal Finishing Division of Modern Metal Products, retiring in 1992.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Clifford E. Johnson Post 9759, Rockford 168, and Moose Club 295.

Lyle Nali was a musician, playing keyboard in the Rockford area with several bands, including Kinsmen and YMCA Retired Men's Band. Music was his life and he was a "Gold Star Dad".

Surviving Lyle Nali are his wife, Inez Nali; a son, Thomas L. Nali of Rockford; a grandson, Robert Lyle Nali. Jr. of Arvada, Colo.; a sister, Marion and Calvin Becker of Winnebago; several nieces and nephews; dear friend Doris J. Winger and a special pet dog, Penny.

Lyle Nalia was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Robert.
