Beverlee M. Wenthe

Beverlee M. Wenthe, 72, of Fayette, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 8, at 11 a.m., at the Grace Lutheran Church in Fayette. Burial was at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were handled by the Floral Hills Chapel Funeral Home.

Beverlee (Zachow) Wenthe was born Feb. 13, 1928, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of Otho and Viola (Allan) Zachow.

She married Russell E.. Wenthe May 5, 1946, in Santa Rosa, Calif. They were the parents of six children.

She was a member of the West Union American Legion Auxiliary and the Prairie View Auxiliary. She had been employed at the Fayette County Care/Prairie View Facility for 27 years.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Wenthe of Prairie City, Dennis Wenthe of Smithsburg, Md.; and Kevin Wenthe of Anacoco, La.; three daughters: Wendy Novak of DECORAH, Janette Chase of Denver, Colo., and Ellen Post of Fayette; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Beverlee Wenthe was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson and a brother.
