Timothy Lansing
Timothy Lansing, 51, of Ossian, died on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000 at Prairie View after a lengthy illness.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at Schmitz Funeral Home in Ossian with Rev. Gary Krapf officiating. Soloist was Clark Goltz and accompanist was Gretchen Workman Goltz. Special music included "On Eagle's Wings" and "Blessed Are They". The congregation sang "I Believe."
Inurnment will occur at a later date. Tributes were read by Megan Conroy, Hally Sutton and Anne Mansfield.
Timothy Craigan Lansing was the son of Robert and Rita (Willson) Lansing, born on Nov. 3, 1949 at the Smith Memorial Hospital in Decorah.
He received, his education at De Sales School. He graduated from De Sales Central High School in 1967. Following graduation, he attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, later moving to Minneapolis and attending Retail Marketing School and graduating from Minneapolis Beauty College.
T. Craigan Lansing moved to California where he practiced hairstyling in Van Nuys and North Hollywood. He then taught himself the art of faux painting, which he had continued since that time. Due to failing health, he moved back to Iowa to live with his parents in 1996.
T, Craigan Lansing is survived by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Rita Lansing of Ossian; a brother, Michael Lansing and Debbie of Laguna Hills, Calif.; two nieces, Megan Conroy of Elmhurst, Illinois and Kimberly Lansing of
Laguna Hills, Calif.; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.Preceding Timothy Craigan Lansing in death were his grandparents, Fred and Monica Lansing and Leo and Mary Willson.
