Ronnie Hoag

Ronald "Ronnie" E. Hoag, 65, of Decorah and formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Aug.9, 1999, at the St Francis Hospital in La Crosse, Wis., of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m., at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, 204 Commercial Street, in Waterloo. Visitation will be held one hour before services.

Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Ronnie was born July 24, 1934, in Waterloo, the son of Edgar and Joyce (Eitzer) Hoag.

He married Mary Lou Botella Jan. 23, 1956, in Nashua.

He worked as a conductor on the Illinois Central Railroad for 39 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Decorah; one son, Jeff of Spring Lake, Mich.; one daughter, Patti Brennan of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren; a step-mother, Feme Hoag of Littleton; and one brother, Richard "Dick" Lee of Lake Havasu, Ariz.

Ronnie Hoag was preceded in death by his parents.
