Gayla Denk

Gayla Denk, 53, of Waukon, died of cancer Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. The Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg officiated. Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Waukon.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; three daughters, Tammy Denk Avery of Cedar Rapids, Jill Reyes of OSSIAN, and Sandra Koshatka of Cresco; a son, Danny of Waukon; her mother, Gladys Olson of Waukon; three brothers, Reginald Olson of Marion, Michael Olson of West Salem, Wis., and Rocky Olson of Yuma, Ariz.; and a sister, Cynthia Martin of Springville.
