Goldie Kosbau

Goldie A. Kosbau, 77, a former Ossian resident, died Oct. 20, 1999, at her home in Davenport.

Funeral services Were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Davenport, with interment at Davenport Memorial Park.

Goldie (Elleson) Kosbau was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Ossian, the daughter of Gilbert and Alma (Riveland) Elleson.

She married Harold Kosbau Feb. 2, 1946, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple owned and operated Bon Ton Bakery in Davenport for 40 years.

Goldie was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Senior Youngsters Group at the church.

Survivors include daughters Debbie Melton, Janet and Ricky Mclntyre, Becky and Tim Clark, and Joan Harter, all of Davenport; sons Gary Kosbau of Davenport, and John and Taura Kosbau of Granite Bay, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; sisters Margerite Cox, and Audrey and John Fullan of Clinton; and brothers Gordon and Dolores Elleson of Clinton, and Richard and Marlene Elleson of Princeton, IL.

Goldie Kosbau was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold, who died Oct. 16, 1982; and a brother, Vernon.
