Joanne Elsbernd, 64, of Quincy, Illinois, died Nov. 24, 2000 at her home,Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Nov. 28 in St. John's Church of All Saints Parish. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery. [Quincy, Illinois]

Joanne Elsbernd was born Sept. 23,1936 in Denver, Colo., a daughter of John and Jeanette Dilullo Strachan.

She married Gerald Elsbernd on June 4,1959. [Son of Alois and Loretta (Kuennen) Elsbernd of Calmar, Iowa.]

Survivors include husband Gerald Elsbernd, three sons, Curtis Elsbernd of Belmont, Calif.; Douglas and Maureen of Ogden, Illinois and Brian and Cheryl Levine of Washington, D.C. and a daughter, Christine Collin and Tim of Germantown, Tenn.

Additional survivors include two grandsons, Nathan Elsbernd and Sullivan Collins, and three sisters, Mary Jesse Anderson and Leon of El Paso, Texas; Jeanette Cox of Phoenix, Ariz, and Ann Tuck and Wayne of Fairfax, Va.
