David Sevatson
David J. Sevatson, 60, of Des Moines and formerly of Ossian, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, in Cherokee Village, Ark., of an apparent heart attack.
Gravesite services were held at the West Paint Creek Lutheran Church in Waterville, with the Rev. Michael Nelson officiating.
David Sevatson was born July 6, 1940, in Ossian to Selmer and Charlotte Sevatson.
He graduated from Ossian High School and worked at the Sevatson DX station.
After the death of his parents, he moved to Des Moines, where he worked in the vending business for over 30 years.
He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Des Moines. He had moved to Cherokee Village, Ark., in July because of ill health.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one brother, Silas Sevatson of Cherokee Village, Ark.; one nephew, Scott Sevatson of Lisle, IL.; one niece, Michele Nelson of Naperville, IL.; and three grand nieces and one grand nephew.
