ROBERT PAGEL, 76, of Oelwein, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m., at the Floral Hills Chapel Funeral home, between Oelwein and Hazleton. Burial will be at the Floral Hills Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Annabel of Oelwein.

Robert Pagel
Robert Page, 76, of Decorah and formerly of Oelwein, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital of congestive heart failure.
Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m., at Floral Hills Chapel in rural Oelwein, with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.
Robert was born July 6, 1922, in rural Sumner, the son of Edwin and Inid (Anders) Pagel. He was married Sept. 8, 1973, in Oelwein, to Annabel Lloyd.
Robert was a salesman for Occo Feeds for 30 years and he was employed at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) fish hatchery for 15 years.
He was a member of the V.F.W. in Decorah. Robert served in the United States Navy in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Annabel of Decorah; three daughters, Cheryl Threlkeld of Postville, Karen Fox of Independence and Molly Pagel of Decorah; three sisters, Thelma Baumgartner, Wanda Miehe and Wanita Dyball, all of Waterloo; and two grandchildren.
Robert Pagel was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Thomas.
