GERALD DASKAM, 81, of Harmony, died Dec. 1, 2000 at his home in rural Harmony.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 4 at the United Methodist Church in Harmony with burial in the State L.ine Cemetery. Rev. David Laechel officiated. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Gerald Walter Daskam was born on Sept. 24, 1919 in Orleans Township in Winneshiek County. He attended school in Kendallville.

Oh June 1,1941, he married Doris Greenslade at her rural Cresco home.

They farmed in rural Cresco for 10 years before moving to Harmony in Feb. of 1952.

Survivors of Gerald Walter Daskam include his wife, Doris Daskam, and four children: Geraldine and Sid Linville of Maplewood, Minn.; Judy and Gerald Vreeman of Spring Valley; and JoAnn and Curt Ballman of Waterville. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren and a sister, Dorothy and Roger Ryan of Harmony.
