Sandra Kay Anderson, 35, of Decorah, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, of injuries received in an automobile accident east of Decorah, off the Old Stage Road.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m., at Decorah Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Glesne officiating.
Diane Kvamrne will be the organist. Sue English will be the soloist. The congregation will sing "How Great Thou Art" and "God's Word Is Our Great Heritage".
Casket bearers will be Richard Aswegan, Jr., Lowell Dehning, Mike Exey, Glen Jevne, Mark Martin and Andy Sharp.
Burial will be at the Jerico Lutheran Cemetery in Jerico. The Fjelstul Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour before services Tuesday.
Sandra (Aswegan) Anderson was born July 14, 1964, at Sundance, Wyo., the daughter of Richard and Orvetta (Halweg) Aswegan.
She was baptized and confirmed at Decorah Lutheran Church. Sandra graduated from Decorah High School in 1982.
She was married to Timothy D. Anderson Oct. 6, 1990, at Jerico Lutheran Church.
Sandra was a dietary aide at Oneota Riverview Care Facility for the last five years.
When she was growing up, her family lived in the Philippines. Her father was in the service there. She really liked living there.
Sandra liked to go camping and swimming. She had many friends and enjoyed having a good time.
She was a member of Decorah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy D. Anderson of Decorah; her parents, Richard and Orvetta Aswegan of Decorah; two brothers, Richard Aswegan, Jr. of Decorah and his Tiffany and Tabitha, and Steven and Kim Aswegan of Decorah and their son, Travis Randall; two sisters, Debra and Dennis Dakin of Manly and their children Connor and Myla, and Terry and Glen Jevne of Decorah; her two grandmothers, Neta Aswegan of Oelwein and, Adeline Halweg of Decorah; and her father- and mother-in-law, Palmer O, and Audrey Anderson of Decorah.
Sandra Anderson was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Glen Aswegan and Henry Halweg, and one brother, Randall G. Aswegan, who died of Wilson's Disease Dec. 27, 1986.
