Emma Hellen

Emma Hellen, 90, of West Des Moines, died Jan. 1, 2001 due to a heart ailment.

The body was cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date with Inurnment at Madison Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Emma Hellen was born in Sumner Township to Edward and Caroline (Asperseth) Albertson.

She had lived in West Des Moines for 24 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Lutheran Church In Ridgeway.

Surviving Emma Hellen is a daughter, Oriette Hickman of Clive, Iowa; a sister, Ruth Ryan of Cresco; and three grandchildren: Diane Hulick of Madison, Wisc.; Jeffrey Hickman of Crown Point, Ind.; and Gregory Hickman of Urbandale, and three greatgrandchildren.

Emma Hellen was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Oliver Hellen.

Memorials may be given to the Ridgeway Lutheran Church or the Madison Lutheran WELCA.
