Funeral services for Lorraine Nerlie Lang, 74, were held Monday, March 20, at Christ Lutheran Church in Gainesville, Ga.
Lorraine Lang died Thursday, March 16, 2000. Burial will be held at a later date at the Springfield Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah.
She was born June 4, 1925, in Decorah, the daughter of Gunder Nerlie and Laura Fosaaen Nerlie. She attended schools in rural Winneshiek County and graduated from Ossian high School in 1944.
After high school she moved to Minneapolis, working for Twin City Federal Savings and Loan, and becoming manager of the insurance division.
On Aug. 6, 1948, she married Robert Lang at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minn. Lorraine and her husband retired to Gainesville, Ga., about 10 years ago, to be closer to their children.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; daughters Susan and Robert Jones of Atlanta, Ga., and Deborah White of Flowery Branch, Ga.; one son, Stephen and Linda Lang of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren Andrea Fisher, Henry Jones, and Jason and Laura Lang; and sisters Ethel (Mrs. George) Peck of Ossian, Sylvia
(Mrs. Daniel) Lien of Decorah and Arlene Jenks of Minneapolis.Lorraine Lang was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Olga Hogenson and Barbara Reichow.

Lorraine (Nerlie) Lang, 74, died March 16, 2000, at Gainesville, Ga., where she and her husband, Robert, had been living the past 10 years.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 25, at 11 a.m., at the Ossian Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Cindy Arndt officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Susan and Robert Jones and Deborah White; a son, Stephen and Linda Lang; five grandchildren; and sisters Ethel (Mrs. George) Peck of Ossian, Sylvia
