Florence Headington

Florence Headington, 87, of LaCrosse, Wis., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church of LaCrosse, with the Rev. Merill Herder officiating.

Burial at Phelps Park in Decorah took place Monday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of LaCrosse handled arrangements.

Florence (Arneson) Headington was born in Decorah May 11, 1911, the daughter of John and Julia (Jaastad) Arneson.

She married Lloyd Headington in Brainerd, Minn., in June of 1935. The couple moved to the LaCrosse area 19 years ago from Lebanon, Ind.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Headington of LaCrosse, Wis.; one daughter, Joanne and Wally Kenimer of LaCrosse, Wis.; three grandchildren, Kennan, Kyle (Diane) and Katherine; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Vine of Decorah.

Florence Headington was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
