Jeanne M. Korbel

Jeanne Korbel, 74, of Oak Lawn, IL, and formerly of Ossian, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Zimmerman and Sandeman Memorial Chapel in Oak Lawn, with Rev. Mark Walter of the St. Germaine Catholic Church officiating.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at St. Francis Cemetery by Msgr. Cletus Hawes, with Schmitz Funeral Home handling local arrangements.

Jeanne M. Korbel was born March 26, 1926 in Ossian, the daughter of William and Rose A. (Broderick) Korbel.

She was a retired secretary for the Brenner Casket Company in Chicago, a position she held for many years. She was a member of the Evergreen Golf Club and the St. Germaine Catholic Church in Oak Lawn.

She is survived by a niece, Rosemary Naab and a nephew, Robert Korbel.

Jeanne M. Korbel was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Korbel.
