Glen Kelley, 74, formerly of Bluffton and Dyersville, died suddenly Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Studio City, Calif.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Sherman Oaks, Calif., with the Rev. Jim Maher officiating.
Glen was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Bluffton, the son of Joe and Mary (Noecker) Kelley. He graduated from Decorah High School in 1942.
He was united in marriage to Rosemary Rastetter in 1947. She survives him, along with five sons, Richard of Des Moines, Wayne of Davenport, Mike of New Orleans, La., Tom of Dyersville and Joe of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Patty in Pueblo, Colo.; one brother, Mark Kelley of Faribault, Minn.; two sisters, Audrey Rue and Phyllis Hauber of Ridgeway; a special friend, Linda Herman; and grandchildren.
He had resided in Sherman Oaks and Studio City, Calif. for the past 18 years, entertaining at various dance clubs with his band, Glen Kelley and the Velvet Tones.
