Lucich, Helen Irene (Peck) -- 1900 - 2000

Helen Irene Peck Lucich was born October 4, 1900 in Frankville Twp., Winneshiek County, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Nellie (Hastings) Peck of Frankville. She attended rural schools.

She was married to Martin Lucich in Hood River, Oregon. Martin died in 1992. Helen lived in Oregon, California, Minnesota, and Iowa. She was a cook at the Hood River Hospital in Oregon for 40 years. Helen moved back to Winneshiek County in 1992 to live with her nephew Leland Walby and his wife Janice of Frankville. On August 29, 1995 she became a resident of the Aase Haugen Home.

Helen Lucich passed away at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah, Iowa on June 27, 2000 at the age of 99.

A family graveside service was held on Saturday, July 1, 2000, officiated by Rev. James Walker, with burial at Frankville Cemetery, Frankville, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister Charlotte Walby, and three brothers, Ray Peck, Hartley Peck and Elmer Peck. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
