Katherine Dora Dale Lambert, the daughter of John and Anna (Koester) Schneider was born May 14, 1870 in Winneshiek county, Iowa. She died on September 23, 1964 at the Community Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since May 17, 1957, at the age of 94 years, four months and nine days.

She married John W. Lambert in her parents home, five miles north of Postville, on September 27, 1894.

Her husband was a station agent with the Soo Line Railroad in Plaza and Beltore, North Dakota until he retired to live in Postville in 1931.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Lambert; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Kahle, Mrs. Elizabeth Sams, Mrs. Margaret Thuerk; and three brothers, John, Charles and Henry Schneider.

She is survived by one sister, Gussa, Mrs. Vernon Kelly, of Red Wing, Minnesota and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Postville on Saturday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery with the Rev. Ray A. Holmquist, associate pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.
