Final rites for William Carl Lundt of Castalia were held at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona on December 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiating. He was stricken at home about two weeks ago and had been under the doctors care at the time of his death which occurred on Christmas day. He was 60 years of age.

William Lundt was born near Osterdock on February 11, 1890, the son of Fred and Wilhelmina Lundt. He was baptized in the Lutheran church. He grew up in the community attending grade and parochial school there.

Mr. Lundt was married to Clara Petsche on November 30, 1916 at Dubuque. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Clara Belle; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hanke of Guttenberg, Mrs. Emil Kraus, Mrs. Charles Kraus and Mrs. George Sass of Monona; George Lundt of Maynard, Herman Lundt of Garnavillo and Mrs. Alfred Lundt of Decorah and a brother John who passed away 4 years ago.

Half brothers and sisters surviving are: Henry Lundt of Chatfield, Minnesota, Mrs. August Weinberg and Mrs. Fred Schradke of Clarksburg, and Lizzie Vassler of Garnet, Kansas.

The body was laid to rest in the family lot in the City cemetery at Monona.
