Mrs. L. Ehrie Dies At Home

Mrs. Lena Ehrie, 89, of Glenwood township died at the family home at 9p.m. Wednesday, May 11. Funeral services will be at the Arthur Kittelson home (the family home) at 1:30p.m. and at the Glenwood Lutheran church at 2p.m. The Rev. N.O.Oversdall will officiate. Burial will be at the Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Robert Nash, Gordon Engen, Orin Ehrie, George Knoke, Andrew Sorum, and Gordon Johnson. The floral committee will be Henreatta Evenrud, Florence Lovstuen, Evelyn Kvamme, and Inga Lovstuen. Miss Lena Nilselokken was born on March 29, 1860 in Glenwood township. Her parents were Christian and Randie Nilselokken. She was married to Jens Ehrie in January 1891. Her husband preceded her in death in July 1910. She is survived by one son, Jergen Ehrie, and four daughters Ruth, Mrs. Arthur Kittelson, Beata, Mrs. Spencer Gilbertson, Juliet, Mrs. Selmer Engen, and Johanna, Mrs. Albert Nash, all of Winneshiek and Allamakee County. She is also survived by two stepsons, Ludwig and Edgar Ehrie, and one stepdaughter, Nora, Mrs. Elmer Smorstad. One daughter, Stella, preceded her in death March 13, 1915. One sister, Mrs. Emma Evenrud of Decorah, also survives. Six sisters and one brother preceded her in death. She is survived by seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Ehrie lived on the home farm in Glenwood township all her life. She was a member of the Glenwood Lutheran church.

MRS. LENA EHRIE

Decorah, Ia. - Services for Mrs. Lena Ehrie, 89, who died Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Kittleson, in Glenwood Township, will be Sunday from the Kittleson home to the Glenwood Lutheran Church. The Rev. N. O. Dversdall will officiate and burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

The former Lena Nilslokken was born March 26, 1860, in Glenwood Township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Nilslokken. She was married to Jens Ehrie in January 1891.

She is survived by a son, Jergen: four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Kittleson, Mrs. Spencer Gilbertson, Mrs. Selmer Engen, and Mrs. Albert Nash; three stepchildren, Mrs. Elmer Smorstad, Luwig and Edgar and a sister, Mrs. Emma Evenrud. She was preceded by her husband.
