Ann M. Kuchenbecker, age 68, of Prairie du Chien, WI passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 4 at 1 p.m. at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien, WI. Rev. James Weighner will officiate. Friends may call Friday, December 4 from 9 a.m. until the time of departure for the church at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien, WI.

Ann was born June 6, 1941 in Waukon, the daughter of Ralph and Irene (Folsom) Steele. She married Robert Kuchenbecker September 15, 1964 in Caledonia, MN. Together they owned and operated Bob’s Bar in Prairie du Chien, WI for the past 50 years.

She is survived by a son, Todd (Kristie Myers) of Prairie du Chien, WI; three stepsons, Kem of Wauzeka, WI, Kurt of Edgerton, WI, and Kevin of Madison, WI; her mother, Irene Steele of Waukon; four brothers, Ralph (Patty) Steele of Onalaska, WI, Randy (Theresa) Steele of Roanoke, IN, Ronnie (Kay) Steele of Wadena, and Ricky (Sheila) Steele of Waukon; three sisters, Vicky (Mark) Vick of Decorah, Lori (Dan) Treangen of Waukon and Margie Walker of Des Moines; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Robert; a niece, Renee Steele; and a great-niece, Emma Smith.
